Little things: Sawyer is drowning himself in alcohol; Ilana takes some of Jacob’s ashes; Rose is the office manager at the temp agency Locke goes to looking for work; Ben gives Locke’s eulogy, revealing he murdered him
Episode notebook:
Back to the alternate timeline in Los Angeles, and Locke has just returned home from the airport. He’s still paralyzed, despite lying to Boone about going on a walkabout.
John returns home only to fall out of his wheelchair, but in this reality, Locke and Helen are engaged.
Locke and Helen are planning their wedding. Helen preaches about destiny when she sees Jack’s business card in Locke’s pants pocket. Helen encourages John to take Jack up on his offer for a surgical consult.
Interesting perspective of the smoke monster, a.k.a. Fake Locke, flying across the island.
Locke lied to his boss, Randy, and Helen about where he went. John is fired for lying.
Fake Locke, also the Man in Black, reveals to Richard that the real Locke was a candidate.
Richard refuses to follow the Man in Black on his journey.
Ben reveals to Ilana that her crew died at the hands of the smoke monster, but lies about who really killed Jacob.
A grieving Sawyer is unfazed to see a dead man, Locke, at the barracks. Although Sawyer realizes the man in front of him isn’t the real John Locke.
Fake Locke boasts to Sawyer that he has the answers as to why he’s on the island.
After being fired, Locke meets Hurley, who reveals he owns the box company and offers to help John get a new job.
Ilana and the beach crew are heading to the temple.
Fake Locke and Sawyer see a young kid in the jungle. A kid who warns him not to kill Sawyer.
Richard tries to warn Sawyer about Fake Locke. Sawyer still follows Fake Locke despite his doubts.
Ilana reveals the Man in Black is stuck with Locke’s face. How does that work?
Sun makes everyone bury the real Locke before they continue to the temple.
Locke tells Helen the truth about where he really went while in Australia.
Fake Locke brings Sawyer to a cave with names etched into the rock wall.
Off the island, Locke becomes a substitute teacher at the same school as Ben.
A lot of the names in the cave are crossed out, but not all. Sun, Jin, Jack, Hurley, Locke, and Sawyer’s names are not crossed out.
Sawyer chooses a side.
